6D/5N Whale hunting in Lamalera

these trips are special tours for visiting Lamalera villages, their daily life culture, and nature, the Lamalera ceremony is WHALE hunting  in Lamalera villages, and whale hunting starts mei  till September, and before leaving  by traditional Boat the people do some ceremony to their ancestors to get lots of results

here is the itinerary

Day 1 : Denpasar – Maumere (fly)
Take a flight from Bali to Maumere by Garuda air or Sriwijaya air, pick up by an English guide direct drive to Larantuka for about 4 hours driving. On arrival in Larantuka check in at Asa hotel and relax in the pool while enjoying the sunset.

Day 02 : Larantuka – Lewoleba –Lamalera  ( start in the morning from larantuka )

Pick up the hotel in Larantuka and transfer to the harbor to take a fast ferry sail to Lembata.  Continue to Lamalera village using a private car for about 4 hours driving.  Check in at a homestay in Lamalera village and enjoy the sunset.

 

Day 03: Lamalera Village (hunting whales)

On this day you are invited to join in whale hunting. Whale hunting is a hereditary tradition by the camera people using traditional tools. You can use a local wooden boat to see the process of whale hunting and you where lucky if you can see closer the people who hunt the whales

Day 04: Lamalera – Lewoleba – Larantuka

get Back To Lewoleba, and after lunch continue to the harbor to get back to Larantuka and stay overnight in Larantuka

Day 5 : Larantuka – Maumere

in the Morning you will see Boru Village to see the Volcano Mount name is Lewotobi and plantation coffee in Hokeng then continue driving to Maumere .hotel stay

Day 6 : Maumere – Denpasar (fly) 

take breakfast at the hotel then prepared to transfer to the air[ort for check-in at the airport -flight next destination. TOUR ENDS
